Granizados Maresme has been selected as one of the three finalists for the 2026 FAGEM Award for Business Achievement, an honor that recognizes companies’ track record, financial stability, capacity for growth and adaptation, innovation, and contribution to the economic and social development of the Maresme region.

This recognition is especially meaningful to us in the year we are celebrating our 25th anniversary.

In light of the nomination, the FAGEM team recently visited our facilities to get a firsthand look at our operations, our products, and, above all, the people who make up Granizados Maresme. The video filmed during the visit will be screened at the 19th Maresme Business Awards (Nit de l’Empresariat del Maresme), to be held on October 8, when the winning company will be announced.

For Granizados Maresme, being among the three finalists is in itself a significant recognition of a journey that began 25 years ago in Pineda de Mar.

A family-owned business that was founded with a mission to do things differently

Granizados Maresme was founded in 2001 as a small family business, with limited resources but a very clear vision: to compete in a market dominated by much larger companies, it was necessary to find a different way of doing things.

From the very beginning, that distinction was closely linked to innovation.

Product innovation, of course, but also innovation in the way we approach service: staying close to our customers, listening to their needs, responding quickly, seeking solutions, and always striving to go the extra mile.

That philosophy has guided Granizados Maresme throughout its entire evolution.

Over the past 25 years, our facilities, our products, the markets in which we operate, and the scale of the challenges we face have all changed. However, our approach to the company has remained essentially the same.

We continue to manufacture in Pineda de Mar, developing our own products and committed to fostering industry, employment, knowledge, and opportunities in our community.

We remain a family-owned business competing in a market dominated by large international operators, relying on our own strengths: specialization, flexibility, close customer relationships, adaptability, and innovation.

An achievement made possible by the efforts of many people

We could never have made it this far without all the people who have been part of Granizados Maresme over the past 25 years.

That is why this nomination belongs especially to our team, including those who have spent a significant part of their careers growing alongside the company.

We would also like to thank our partners and suppliers, who have so often helped us find solutions and make new projects possible.

To our customers, many of whom placed their trust in Granizados Maresme when we were a much smaller company and continue to trust us today.

And, of course, to the families who have supported this project and know better than anyone the hard work, dedication, and commitment that have gone into these past 25 years.

Receiving this recognition on our 25th anniversary allows us to look back and see how much Granizados Maresme has changed since its beginnings, but also to confirm that we continue to hold on to much of what the company was founded on: the ambition to grow, the desire to improve, our connection with people, and the drive to keep innovating.

We’re still here in Pineda de Mar. We’re still making things. We’re still learning. And we’re still looking toward the future with the same enthusiasm we had when it all began.
